Paving The Future Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Virginia Asphalt Association
About the scholarship
The Paving the Future Scholarship — established as the Richard J. Schreck Legacy Scholarship — honors Richard J. Schreck, VAA’s retired Executive Vice President who served for 36 years and helped create this scholarship program. The award supports dependents, spouses, and employees of VAA member companies who are pursuing education beyond high school, with an emphasis on studies related to asphalt, construction, or infrastructure. The program is administered through the NAPA Research and Education Foundation (NAPAREF) Scholarship Program, a 501(c)(3) organization.
