Our firm will offer seven $2,000 scholarships to graduating seniors in South Carolina who plan to attend a four-year institution of higher learning in the fall. Selection of the recipients is based on creative entry, school activities, positions of leadership, special honors and awards, community involvement, academic performance, and professional pursuits.
In 2021 we launched another scholarship program offering one student attending a historically black college or university the opportunity to win a college scholarship to help further their education. This year, applicants will be able to apply for both scholarships using the same application below.
HOW TO APPLY
Applicants are required to submit the following materials along with their online application form:
- A current high school transcript
- A (bullet-point) list of any extracurricular activities or community involvement
- A creative entry based on one of the following prompts:
- As a graduating senior, what advice would you give to your younger self (and other incoming freshmen) about navigating peer pressure and avoiding risk-taking behavior like drunk driving and texting while driving?
- Drunk driving accidents claim over 10,000 lives each year. Show or explain how drunk driving impacts
your state, community, and/or you, personally. - If applying for the HBCU scholarship, you may choose one of the above topics, or instead, you may submit a 600-word essay on Why attending a historically Black college or university is important to me.
- Nominate a favorite teacher who has inspired your creativity for a teacher prize
- A current photo (suitable for publication)

Creative entries may be but are not limited to an essay, video, infographic, song, poem, etc. Files must be in one of the following formats (pdf, doc, jpg, png, mv4, avi, wav, mp3). Please limit written entries to 600 words and audio/video submissions to two minutes.
