The South Carolina Association of CPAs Educational Fund supports the development of the CPA profession across South Carolina by awarding scholarships and grants to programs that align with its mission. Through financial gifts and volunteer involvement, the Fund helps prepare the next generation of accounting professionals.
Application deadline
The 2026–27 scholarship application is now open and will close at 5:00 p.m. on May 31, 2026.
About the Fund
The Educational Fund’s purpose is to provide financial assistance and other resources to students and candidates pursuing accounting degrees and CPA licensure within South Carolina. Its stewardship helps sustain a vibrant, well-trained accounting workforce for the state.
Primary responsibilities
- Review and approve student scholarship applications
- Review and approve student loan debt relief applications
- Review and approve CPA exam bonus applications
- Review the Investment Performance Report
- Review the Fund’s financial reports
South Carolina Association of CPAs Scholarship Program
This scholarship program awards financial support to exceptional undergraduate and graduate accounting students enrolled at South Carolina institutions who demonstrate strong academics, leadership, and dedication to pursuing the CPA designation.
Eligibility
- Rising juniors or seniors majoring in accounting, or students enrolled in a master’s degree program in accounting, at a South Carolina college or university
- Full-time enrollment
- Completion of at least one intermediate accounting course (or an equivalent)
- Overall GPA of at least 3.00
- Accounting GPA of at least 3.00
