The Alamo Chapter provides $1,000 scholarships in four distinct categories each year.
Scholarship Categories
1. College ROTC cadets — includes the LtCol Edward & Mrs. Ruby Marvin AF ROTC scholarship.
2. High school JROTC cadets — includes the General Garza "Let’s Go" Scholarships, General Robert Herring Scholarship, Colonel Edmond McCarthy Scholarship, and the Mrs. Susie Tolman Scholarship.
3. COL Clarence Torrey Scholarship — awarded to a Bexar County student who has a military family member.
4. MAJ James and Mrs. Cheryl Cunningham Scholarship — for a dependent of an active MOAA-Alamo Chapter member.

The MCCA is delighted to announce the availability of $15,000 in scholarships annually for graduating cheerleaders. This includes ten scholarships of $1,000 each, one scholarship of $2,000, and the $3,000 Suzy Thompson Scholarship.KEY DETAILS:The scholarships are one-time, non-renewable awards.The applicant's coach must be a fully paid MCCA member by February 1.Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 unweighted scale. The Ohio Township Association Scholarship Program was established in 2005. Its roots trace back further: former OTA board member Paul Smith and his wife Ethel made the founding gift to the scholarship fund, creating the basis for future awards.
